Effective 10 March 2008, Sino-Ocean Land has been selected by Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited as a constituent of a number of its indexes, including Hang Seng Composite Index (“HSCI”), Hang Seng Mainland Composite Index, Hang Seng China-Affiliated Corporations Index (“HSCCI”), Hang Seng Composite Industry Index – Properties and Construction, Hang Seng Freefloat Composite Index as well as Hang Seng Mainland Freefloat Index.
The selection criteria of HSCI is the market capitalization of listing companies, for those whose market capitalization ranks rise to the 160th position or above will be added as a constituent; while HSCI constituents with red-chip background will be selected as HSCCI constituent. Being selected as a constituent of these two indexes is a strong evidence of Sino-Ocean Land’s investment value.
The above indexes are being used as reference and benchmark for comparison by many fund managers; becoming a constituent of such indexes, Sino-Ocean Land will be able to appeal to more institutional investors.
